The little tunny, also called bonita, is in the Scrombidae family along with other mackerals and tunas. This species may be found in brackish waters but is primarily found in marine environments on the Western and Eastern Atlantic. Similar to other related species these migratory fish have a strong fusiform shape that is built for speed and distance. Having a voracious appetite these fish will feed on other fishes, crustaceans and a host of invertebrates. Little tunny may grow up to four feet in length and weigh up to 35 pounds .
